It's Raining...

I'll be leaving very, very soon to make the long drive. It's quite cool out, which is nice. Would be best to try to beat that afternoon salt lake city traffic, but this being a holiday weekend... I doubt I'll accomplish that.

IN THE MEANTIME, while I'm away, I'd love to log onto this page and see some inspiring words to enjoy ... and those of you who have that capacity know who you are!

After all...
"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold, in pictures of silver."

1] The ancient commentaries explain that verse like this:
We're talking about a solid gold apple which for some reason has been enclosed in a silver lattice work. So that from a distance it looks ok, nice silver apple. But looking at the thing closely reveals that there is somethin even more valuable inside: a solid gold apple.

So to true words of wisdom look pretty ok to all, but also have a depth not grasped by superficial examination.

2] Of course I know who I are. Mel Gibson.

I knew I could count on you, Mel, to give me some depth to that ancient proverb...

Sure and you know wisdom is defined as such, with hidden beauties once one digs deeper... just as it is with a man... specifically, you.

As "counsel in the heart of a man is like deep water.. but a man of understanding will draw it out."

Please, sir, may I have some more?
